Creating more than consuming is the key in this modern world. There are a lot of ways to consume content and entertainment out there, but there are also a lot of ways to start creating.

It's our own choice to decide.

In end you will be known for what you create.

A key takeaway for me: creating means different things for everyone. It’s a very personal process. I don’t have to necessarily be the new Van Gogh of our time or even do what people around me or on the internet are doing to nurture my creativity.

Your right, the art you create has no comparison to the art made by another.

For this, I have a list on my phone of things that move me or excite me and I try to take my inspiration to create from this, rather than scrolling through Pinterest or social media under the pretense of admiring other people's work. Finding inspiration in physical media like magazines rather than an infinite scroll.

I like the idea of finding inspiration in physical media!!

I write in my journal. This is the question I'm pestered by as yet another day goes by and I'm more engaged with other people's work than my own. I think it partly self identity.

I am a maker. Of what?

Find something you enjoy making or writing and do for the sake of making the work great. If you choose to share it, that is up to you.

Been thinking so much lately about how to slowly build a routine to cut back on social media and replace the time spent there on creating. Very helpful article!

Creating can sometimes feel daunting and scary. It shouldn’t feel forced but show feel like it’s effortless. Creativity needs to be cultivated and nurtured. This was a great piece to read and feel inspired.

What if we don’t have it in Us? Like we don’t have art skills and we don’t like cooking… do we just meditate? But then why would we share out meditation it doesnt benefit others

Then the first step would not be creating, but finding.

This is what I experience before starting to write. 3 years of wandering around and doing nothing. But once I get it, I share it.

Here are things you can do:

1. Meditate and eliminate distractions (spend more time in boredom)

2. Do something that interest you (doesn't have to be something you are good at)

3. Ask yourself, "What would you spend your time on every day if everything was settled in your life?"

I hope this helps, TheTEA.
